Free Roblox game
Billie Eilish is a free experience for Roblox created by Billie Eyelash Fans. This is not a game. At the very least, this is an attempt at veneration of a pop star at the hands of a deeply passionate or obsessed individual. Despite the creator’s desperate pleas for a more active fanbase, the experience has only been visited 160,000 times.
Billie Eilish is a jarring experience. If you’re looking for a ‘game’ that you can actually play, Roblox is generally one of the most accessible and varied online gaming platforms and is, therefore, a brilliant place to start your search. If you’d like to play a collaborative yet competitive game with other players, why not try Would you Rather 2? If sandbox games are more to your taste, try Sandbox 2.
Gameplay
As mentioned earlier, there is no gameplay to speak of. Billie Eilish is essentially a room covered in the titular artist’s face. If you’re envisioning a beautiful gallery with ornately framed photographs of her hanging on the walls, don’t.
The reality is far more jarring. As soon as you spawn in, you’ll see Billie Eilish’s face - everywhere. There is nowhere you can look where you won’t see her face. There’s no floor, either. You’re suspended in a box made entirely of pictures of Billie Eilish.
Merch
This isn’t technically merch because Billie Eilish isn’t the one selling it, but the creator has given you one thing that you can do - buy Billie Eilish clothing for your Roblox character. You can even buy a realistic head for your Robloxian, upon which the face of Billie Eilish is plastered. This makes the experience feel even more.
Not only does the creator want you to be able to look at nothing but Billie Eilish’s face, they even want you to wear it. The entire experience feels like the very definition of the thin line between veneration and obsession.
Veneration or obsession?
Veneration and obsession are two sides of the same coin. The former can so easily and quickly morph into the latter - often with dire consequences. It’s not clear whether this is all just a ploy to get you to spend money on the creator’s creations or whether this is the physical embodiment of a red flag.
Either way, if you enjoy games that you can actually interact with and enjoy - particularly for free - stear clear of this jarring and unsettling experience.
